Cherry Audio’s Octave Cat synthesizer emulerer The CAT duofoniske synthesizer som ble lansert av Octave Electronics i 1976. Utviklet i samarbeid med The CATs originale designer, beholder Octave Cat ($49 MAP/$69 List) all growl av den originale maskinvarens fete, ville lyd og replikerer dens aggressive resonante filter. 1976: Året for The CAT
I begynnelsen av 1970-tallet var bærbare synthesizere en sjeldenhet, og bare et utvalg av musikere hadde råd til de legendariske Minimoog eller ARP Odyssey synthesizerne.
